A little bit about me . . .
Seeking freelance, contract or temp-to-perm roles that engage my many years of print and digital design, brand development and implementation, creative direction, ideation, production design and mentoring in an agency or in-house studio environment.
My diverse interests and creative focus allow me to be problem solver, whether it’s working with an established brand, evolving a brand in transition or the creation of a new brand/identity package.
I consider myself an excellent collaborator and am completely comfortable with clients as well as fellow creatives. My many years of experience allow me to bring a focused yet fresh perspective to any design team or creative environment.
Currently I’m a freelance packaging designer who has worked for the award-winning branding firms CBX and Pearlfisher, plus the design & packaging production company Diadeis/sgsco in NYC.
I was a Senior Production Designer for the award-winning branding and strategy firm Siegel+Gale, working on brand management, brand guidelines, brand extensions, brand compliance and implementation in the Creative Services Department.
I have had a diverse career, including being a Packaging Designer for the cloud-based packaging agency Rouge 24, the Associate Vice President / Director of Creative Services for Modell’s Sporting Goods, freelanced as a Packaging Designer for the branding firm CBX and was a Partner in the “small but mighty” Lost In Brooklyn Studio for 13 years. Before LIB, I was a Creative Director for the sports marketing firm SME Branding, a Senior Designer at The National Hockey League, a Designer for The Limited Corporation and started my career as a Production Designer for The National Football League. Whew!
Since 2005, I have been an adjunct professor at Parsons–The New School for design teaching communication design, package design, print design and typography design. It’s a blast, trust me! And now I have the honor of teaching packaging production and implementation for the Fashion Institute of Technology.
I graduated from Pratt Institute with a BFA in communication design and illustration.
. . . And a few other little known facts, unless you know me, I have over 20+ Hawaiian shirts, three tikis and an awesome spouse to share them with.
